When your treatment is coming to an end, your Drug Worker will discuss strategies with you to assist you in remaining drug free. Your treatment with DSB may come to an end, when you become drug free, or you may choose to stop treatment for a variety of reasons. Regardless of why you might have left, you can return at any time to receive further support from a Drug Worker.

DSB have a policy of trying to keep people involved in treatment. This means if you miss an appointment, and don't specifically tell us you want to leave treatment, we will contact you and offer you further appointments with a Drug Worker.

We work in partnership with your Doctor, and if you are no longer seeing a Drug Worker your Doctor may be reluctant to continue to prescribe for you.

Getting back into treatment
You can return to treatment at anytime - even if you don't require a substitute prescription.

If you would like to come back into treatment, you can speak to your GP, who can make an appointment for you to see a Drug Worker who will re-assess your situation.

If you have been seeing DSB as part of a court order, restrictions on bail or PPO, you will need to be referred back by Probation, DIP or your Offender Manager. A Drug Worker will assess your current situation, and this may involve a drug test. This assessment may be shorter than your original assessment, depending on how much your situation has changed.

If you have recently left treatment, you may know the name of your previous Drug Worker, and can ask to speak to them. Our Workers are attached to Doctors surgeries and Probation Officers across the City, and may not be in the office when you call. A message will be left for them for when they return.
