SMART - Self Management and Recovery Training

 


SMART recovery uses mutual support groups for people who have chosen to abstain or are considering to abstain from addictive behaviours. It is cognitive behaviour therapy based (Cognitive = what you think. Behaviour = what you do).

It uses a four point program to :

  • Motivate people to abstain
  • Cope with urges
  • Problem solve
  • Achieve life style balance

There is a SMART recovery Meeting every Monday 6.00pm till 7.30pm at Addaction 279 Gooch Street, Highgate Birmingham . Tel. 07985 88 3359

Carers
Birmingham parents and carers run support groups by carers for carers of someone with a substance misuse issue. Tel.07788 734 608 or 07788 718 435 leave a message and someone will call you back.
