Domestic Violence - This service has been funded by the Local Authority to provide assistance to people who either cause domestic violence, and/or people who are the victims of domestic violence, where alcohol is a contributory factor. Out staff in this service, work with people as part of a programme of help to identify the risks and help reduce the actual and potential harm, and help people to protect themselves from abuse.
Alcohol Treatment Requirement - The Criminal Justice Act 2003 introduced a sentencing option for courts to make a requirement for people to undertake alcohol treatment. We have been commissioned to provide the courts with an assessment of an individual's suitability for treatment and, if agreed by the Court, we can provide a programme of 12 sessions to help people look at the influence of alcohol on their behaviour.
Binge Drinkers - A 4 session group programme to help people with this problem
Positive Parenting - a 6 session programme to help parents with alcohol problems look at how their difficulties with alcohol effect their parenting abilities
Training - Staff provide alcohol awareness training to other professionals in social care and health
